March Update – From Vision to Reality

March has been an incredible month of seeing so many of the things that were planned and prayed over in February come to life. It has been so rewarding to watch these ideas turn into real moments of connection, growth, and ministry.

Crea y Conecta officially launched this month, and it has already been such a joy. Volunteers, CDR staff, and new people have all joined in on different activities like painting, making bracelets, a scavenger hunt, and even an escape room. Each event has created space for people to laugh, connect, and build relationships in a relaxed and welcoming environment. My prayer is that even more people continue to get involved and find a sense of belonging through this space.

At the same time, CDR Kids Church has also officially begun! Even though the group is still small—usually around three kids—it has already been so meaningful. This ministry is about more than numbers; it’s about creating a space where kids are known, included, and discipled. It also provides support for parents during the service and gives volunteers a chance to serve in a hands-on, impactful way. I feel so blessed to use the gifts God has given me—especially working with kids and creativity—to help bring this vision into reality.

Another exciting step this month is that I have officially joined World Outreach Ministries. This partnership provides me with a home base and an organization that supports both me and my supporters by offering structure, accountability, and important tax documentation. I’m so grateful for this step, as it allows me to continue serving with greater stability and support.

I’ve also had the opportunity to be part of weekly visits with the CDR team to Hijas del Rey Orphanage. During these visits, I’ve been helping some of the girls with their homework and beginning to build relationships with them. It’s been really special to start forming those connections, and I’m looking forward to continuing to invest in their lives each week.

In addition, I visited a new community center/after-school program that CDR had not previously partnered with. I’m excited to share that I will now be teaching English there and helping lead volunteers in bi-monthly visits. This is a new door that has opened, and I’m expectant to see how God will use it to reach and serve even more people in the community.

Another new opportunity that came out of this month is starting an English conversation club. Nati, who leads the English program at CDR, originally asked me to help teach speaking classes for students. After doing a few, we had the idea to expand it into something bigger—opening it up to anyone who wants to practice their English through conversation. This new club will create a relaxed, welcoming space for people to grow in confidence, build relationships, and connect with the community. I’m really excited about this and look forward to sharing more updates next month as it gets started.

March has truly been a month of growth, new beginnings, and stepping into what God has been preparing. Thank you for continuing to support, pray, and walk alongside me in this journey—I couldn’t do this without you.
